Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist (transportation services)
OnWay Transport is seeking a motivated and customer focused Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist to help recruit and onboard independent contractors who deliver lifesaving blood platelets and other medical supplies nationwide. This role is responsible for sourcing candidates, posting jobs, screening applicants, managing high volume communications, coordinating onboarding activities, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and manage job advertisements across multiple job boards.
- Conduct candidate outreach, pre-screening, and follow up calls.
- Manage high volume inbound and outbound communications.
- Maintain accurate applicant records and data entry across multiple systems.
- Coordinate onboarding documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Support new contractor orientation and training activities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified driver candidates.
- Collaborate with Dispatch and other departments to meet staffing needs.
- Perform audits, reporting, and administrative recruitment tasks.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to applicants and contractors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, recruiting, call center, or support environment.
- Experience handling high call volumes and working in a fast paced setting.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and online recruiting platforms.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Recruiting or sales experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Full-Time, Onsite
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
